Objective: To explore the effects of empowering and motivating education combined with BaDuanJin intervention on lung function and quality of life in stable Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients. Method: Eighty stable COPD patients in our hospital from July 2022 to June 2023 were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing and lung rehabilitation training, while the observation group received routine nursing and empowering and motivating education combined with Baduanjin for intervention. The lung function and quality of life indicators of the two groups of patients before and after intervention were observed and compared. Results: The FVC, FEV1, and FEV1/FVC of the observation group were (3.06 ± 0.24) L, (2.00 ± 0.32) L, and (65.22 ± 7.45)%, which were higher than those of the control group (2.76 ± 0.27) L, (1.67 ± 0.31) L, and (60.9 ± 6.18)%, with statistical differences (P<0.05); The quality of life score and chronic disease self-efficacy score of the observation group were (85.53 ± 2.87) and (49.38 ± 3.49), respectively higher than those of the control group (80.13 ± 2.63) and (44.30 ± 4.12), with statistical differences (P<0.05); 5% of cases with mMRC ≥ 3 in the observation group and 10% in the control group, There is no statistical difference (Fisher"s exact test, P=0.675). Conclusion: empowering and motivating education combined with BaDuanJin intervention can effectively improve lung function and quality of life in stable COPD patients. |
