      Objective: We aimed to find the effective components and mechanisms of Scutellaria and Coptis in the treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC). Methods: We searched and screened the active components and potential targets of Scutellaria baicalensis pair and the target genes of UC in the TCMSP and Genecards database respectively. The active component target network and potential protein interaction (PPI) were constructed, and then we performed the Go and KEGG analysis. Results: A total of 51 active components in Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi Coptis pair and 136 targets corresponding to UC were identified; and 2226 items associated with GO biological process and 165 signal pathways were obtained, including PI3K / Akt, MAPK, virus and tumor signal pathway. Conclusion: Scutellaria baicalensis and Coptis treat UC mainly through PI3K Akt and MAPK signaling pathways, and involve lots of targets, such as TP53, AKT1, Jun, MAPK1, TNF and so on, which will provide evidence for elaborating the mechanism of action of Scutellaria baicalensis and Coptis pairs on UC in further experimental studies.
